AMT244: Turbine Engine Air, Exhaust, and Propeller Systems

This course examines turbine air systems, exhaust systems, thrust reversers, and propeller aerodynamic principles. Students study induction, bleed air, cooling, and anti-ice subsystems, along with exhaust and thrust management components. Hands-on work includes inspecting ducts, valves, separators, reverser assemblies, and propellers using FAA-approved procedures. Instruction emphasizes troubleshooting airflow issues, evaluating system performance, and determining airworthiness. Propeller topics include blade design, pitch control, and constant-speed system operation.

ENL108 (Critical Reading & Thinking) or satisfactory basic skills assessment score

MAT025 (Pre-Algebra) or satisfactory basic skills assessment score

*AMT112, AMT114, AMT116, and AMT118 or Part 147 approved General Curriculum certificate or equivalent
