Students in the Business Technology: Medical Administrative Assistant Concentration acquire medical terminology and a wide range of technology, communication, and organizational skills that prepare them for support positions in a medical or dental offices, hospitals, health agencies, or related fields. Students in this concentration develop essential computer skills, write and format business documents; use a variety of information processing tools; administer, organize and apply correct medical office procedures in various settings.
Students who are matriculated and place into developmental math and /or English are required to begin the course sequence in the first semester. Please see an advisor with questions.

Prerequisite Statement
To graduate within this program in the specified time, students must begin in the Fall semester and successfully place into required courses based on placement test results and/or high school GPA. Academic advisors can assist with questions.

Completion of a program is based on full time enrollment. Many of our students attend part time and may not complete within the specified timeline.
