Medical Billing

The Business Technology Program – Medical Billing Certificate is designed to prepare students for a career as a Medical Billing Professional.  Students gain skills and knowledge in computer applications, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical office procedures, and medical billing.  Increasing reimbursement pressures within the healthcare industry have increased the need among provider organizations to hire highly trained, highly skilled medical billers. Professionals with an understanding of medical insurance, reimbursement methodologies, and the claims process are in high demand.  Students are encouraged to build on the certificate and obtain the Medical Coding & Billing Certificate or an Associate’s degree at the College.

BST104: If waived, must be replaced with a Business course.
