A lecture portion of existing Biology courses that will provide a lecture experience for only those students who are transferring in credits for 4-credit Biology courses (3 credits lecture, 1 credit laboratory), in which they successfully passed the laboratory portion but not the lecture component, i.e. lecture and lab are graded separately. The Biology course lecture selected must closely match the transferred Biology course and must have the explicit approval of both the lecture instructor and the Dean of the Division of STEM. Only if seating is available will students be allowed to register for the appropriate lecture section during the ADD period. Students who transfer in more than one Biology course may register twice (but, not for the same lecture experience) for BIO197. Students with lecture deficiencies in Biology courses taken at CCCC will not be allowed to register for BIO197, since CCCC science courses are designed and taught such that the laboratory and lecture grades are combined.
Completion of the laboratory portion of a transferred Biology course, and permission of the Division Dean
