This course examines aircraft fuel systems, environmental systems, and fire protection systems. Students learn fuel tank configuration, fuel quantity indication, contamination detection, and safe servicing procedures. Additional topics include deice and anti-ice systems, pitot heat, windshield rain removal, and fire detection and extinguishing technologies. Laboratory activities include system inspections, servicing, leak checks, and performance testing using maintenance manuals. Emphasis is placed on accurate diagnostics, safety, and FAA-approved maintenance practices.
