This course introduces metallic and non-metallic aircraft structures and the inspection and repair methods required for airworthiness. Students learn to assess structural damage, select materials, fabricate sheet-metal components, install rivets and fasteners, and perform approved structural repairs using maintenance manuals. Instruction includes safe welding practices, wood and fabric repair, composite repair techniques, and evaluation of thermoplastic components. Emphasis is placed on safety, precision, and compliance with FAA maintenance standards.
