ENR105: Circuit Theory & Analysis

This course begins a student’s preparation as an in electronics/avionics technician.  Focus is on the applications of basic electricity, fundamentals of AC & DC, electrical components, circuit theory, electronics safety, test equipment, devices using semiconductors, generation and storage of electricity, solid-state components, frequency generation, corrosion control, electronics manuals and drawings, and the fundamentals of energy.  Laboratory experiments are used to reinforce concepts and develop laboratory skills, as well as to provide system-level understanding.  Upon completion the student will be eligible to take the Avionics Technician Certification (AET) Certification exam.

Prerequisites

ENL108: Critical Reading & Thinking and MAT041: Elementary Algebra for STEM. Bypass Exam available for existing FAA Airframe Certificated for Airframe Maintenance Technicians Military or Industry experienced electricians with previous electrical certifications.
