Introduction to concepts of health, the individual, and nursing. Principles of the natural, behavioral and social sciences are applied to nursing. Nursing process is used to meet the basic human needs of the young, middle and older adult in health and illness. Health assessment, interpersonal and psychomotor nursing skills will be practiced in the campus laboratory and acute and long term clinical settings. See Instructor Course Outline.
