This course covers the structure and function of the nervous system from molecular, cellular, and systems level perspectives. Coverage will include the anatomy and physiology of the central and peripheral nervous systems, synaptic transmission, neural circuits, sensory systems, and motor systems. Understanding of these core concepts will then be applied to the study of select topics in neurobiology, such as: addiction, learning and memory, brain machine interface, and disorders of the nervous system.
