About Cape Cod Community College

A premier destination for higher education and workforce training in Massachusetts, Cape Cod Community College (4Cs) is a jewel of the State’s public higher education system and a recognized leader in excellence, access, and lifelong learning opportunities. The only comprehensive college on Cape Cod, 4Cs offers Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Applied Science degrees alongside numerous professional certificate programs in a wide variety of programs.

With a laser focus on pairing student wants with workforce and community needs, 4Cs keeps their finger on the pulse of the region, developing creative and effective programming. This includes their Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program, the only one of its kind in Massachusetts, stretching across multiple hangars at Plymouth Municipal Airport where students learn on real aircraft and industry-grade technology. The College also features a Funeral Service program, housed on the campus of nearby Bridgewater State University, and a one-of-a-kind “Blue Economy” degree, designed to prepare students to meet the needs of Cape Cod’s rapidly evolving ocean-based workforce needs.

4Cs is also home to the Center for Community and Professional Education (CCAPE), the region's leading hub for professional development and personal skill enrichment.

At the forefront of 4Cs mission is access and equity for its students. 4Cs is a nationally recognized leader in this work, expanding the bounds of “flexible learning” by offering multiple class modalities across 14 and 7-week semesters that start throughout the academic year. Most notable in this work is the College’s specialty “HyFlex” classes that leverage DTEN technology in nearly every classroom on its West Barnstable campus. HyFlex brings virtual students straight into the classroom with interactive teaching tools far beyond the standard Zoom meeting and allows flexibility for them to choose on a day-to-day basis if they attend in-person or online. This is a game changer for those students facing transportation issues or those who simply have busy day-to-day lives and can’t always be physically present.

All of this work is led by a community of worldclass educators and support staff dedicated to one singular vision: student success. As a community college, those who come through the doors of 4Cs have diverse and unique backgrounds. In their classes, you will find dual enrolled high school students still in their teenage years sitting alongside adult learners of all ages either starting their educational journeys for the first time or finishing what they started. These students are united by their shared goal of improving their lives and the lives of their families through the life-changing power of higher education.

That goal is what drives the faculty, staff, and leadership of 4Cs. Whether a student is attending with the intent of earning a degree and moving straight into a career, or to transfer credits on to a 4-year institution, the College is designed to support their pathway and that particular chapter in their life story.

Our goal remains clear for the future: to ensure that powerful futures continue to start at Cape Cod Community College.
